Tacticon!

I'm working with the mini-games coordinator for Tacticon to set up a couple DW events. I'm looking at Saturday during the day for a fun round-robin style tournament, but I know that would conflict with the 40K tourney, so I was hoping to get a head count of those people who'd be interested. I'm also looking at a mega-battle, possibly land based for either Saturday night or Sunday.

Please reply to let me know level of interest. A reminder, Tacticon is Labor Day weekend.

Both in one day would be dandy, but if you leave them off Saturday daytime, I'll do the 40K event as well.

I've gone ahead and asked for a couple of tables on Friday night of the Con so I don't conflict with 40K. Here's the event description:

Game: Dystopian Wars
Event: It's Hurricane Season!
Players: Max 8
Min age: 16
Models: Some models can be provided but it is recommended that players with models bring them.
Experience Level: All experience levels welcome.
Description: Scenarios from Hurricane Season will be played using the points allocations recommended in the book. Factions will not be limited to those originally specified in the book. Depending on number of participants, scenarios will be played out either in teams or 1-on-1.

Alright kids, I need a real head-count for who's thinking of playing at tacticon. There are a couple scenarios in Hurricane Season that look like they'd be fun and I'm going to work on getting my Covenant all painted in case we need a loaner fleet. If there are enough people, I'm actually thinking of running the Bay of Pigs invasion with FSA and Brits defending against EotBS and Prussians. In that scenario, FSA ground forces and emplacements have sea and air support from the Brits while the Prussians provide air and sea support to the EotBS invasion force. I'm likely going to pick up enough landing craft at the store this weekend to support this scenario if folks are interested. I just need one player from each faction with the appropriate forces to show up.

Stephan, just got back from overseas last night - how is this coming together for you?
I could participate if you need another player and I also have some barges (2 large, 5 medium, and 12 small) I could throw some paint at if needed, as well as a couple of generic Bunkers (also unpainted right now) if you need some more models to bolster supplies.
