The auction is now one week away and here are some helpful reminders.
Preparation before arriving Saturday
1. When filling out our lots please try to stay in numeric order, it helps out Stephan keep track of everything.
2. Tape is the best thing to use when attaching your ticket to your item.
3. Package wisely. Zip lock baggies work great. Appropriate sized boxes do as well. Box tops with loose models not so much. We will do our best to keep your lot together, but if it comes with lots of loose items and is poorly packed we make no promises.
4. Have everything completed (ticket filled out, taped to lot, packed) before you get to the store on Saturday.
Saturday - Before the start of the auction
1. The store opens at 10.
2. When you bring your lots in, either Troy, Forest, Nancy, Stephan, or myself will check you in. This involves quickly going through your lots, making sure they are filled out, gathering your seller information and completion of the sign in form.
3. The earlier you make it the closer to the front of the table your stuff is going to be, we work front to back, with overflow going on the floor.
4. If you think you may be bidding get a buyers paddle and sign up.
Saturday - During the auction
1. Auction starts at 12. As is noon. Show up late and it is the auction staff that will decide if your lots make it into the auction.
2. You must have a buyers paddle to participate.
3. Raise the paddle to make a bid, make sure the # is facing the auction team. Waving it around slows things down as we don't know if your making a bid or not. Be patient, at times there will be a number of paddles raised, Forest will make his way around the room.
4. Items won will be picked up during fixed break periods, about every two hours. You will get a receipt from Stephan. Take it to the front. Pay Rob. He will sign the receipt. Bring it back to us and you will get your stuff.
5. Those selling will get store credit, usually available 7-10 days after the auction.
6. Unsold items need to be picked up ASAP. We will be boxing them up after all the won items have been paid for and taken.
7. Have FUN! It will be long and crowded, but we have a great time.
If you have any questions ask.
