Watch Bitz

So I decided to pick up a cheap ($8) watch from walmart tonight and see what bitz I could snag from it. I did a pretty crude job of taking it apart (pulled it apart by pliers) but still got most the bitz out intact. Heres what I got
1 circular glass thing that would look great as a window on a spacecraft/submarine (with a painted interior of course)
1 watch face that could be cut up and used for numerals or used as a whole for somehting
about 10 gears great for engine gubbins of course, also I lost 3-5 from the hasty deconstruction
some very unique metal pieces
the rest of the watch (casing band etc.)

So was it worth $8? not really, maybe if you REALLY need those specific pieces and cant find a atch elsewhere. Would it be worht destroying an old beat up thing you dont use anymore? yes

Frankly, I think more little tidbits like this are worth posting. I am trying to think of what you might call it... like "Bitz review" or something.

Anyway, nice post, it got me thinking.
