Those soviet models are pretty cool looking. I like the Ash model, but I think they overdid the flames, they kind of dominate the model as they are.
The weapon packs are a cool idea, but some models are going to be a real pain to swap weapons on, I think.
Nevertheless, I would like to get my hands on an Ash fig and a British weapon pack.

Yeah I had to go to the site to see them. Now I'm torn between German zombies and werewolves and Soviet zombies and werebears!

It's okay-I'll paint the Werebears ala John Bonnot so they won't be so scary...

This December, 2008, Grindhouse Games will launch a new USA-based website/store and miniatures range for a brand new under-development game that is set in the weird world of SoTR. This is something we’ve been talking about for quite some time as many of you will recall. Put on your goggles and strap yourselves in people because this is going to be a hell of a ride. Jim Bailey is leading a development team of some of the best and brightest in the games design world to bring you an assault on the German caves of the fortress of Gibraltar and an experience like you haven’t had since Space Hulk. US armored suits (APE troopers) and MI-13 commandos attempt to shut down the Doomsday Device while Bomberzombies, Blitzhunds, Kriegaffes, and other mad creations of Doktor Hugo von X and the SWD hold the line in a claustrophobic, blood drenched, zombie shooting race against time. Miniatures are sculpted by Seth Nash, Dan Pacey, Gael Goumon, and Andy Cooper. Graphic design, web design, and illustration are by Tears of Envy, Tim Britt, and Keith Lowe of Mercs Minis.
Ladies and germs, prepare your self for the INCURSION.
All models developed for INCURSION will be fully compatible with and have rules for use in Secrets of the Third Reich so you can participate in the INCURSION right away as we continue to develop the game.
So, zombie fans, it seems that West Wind Productions and Grindhouse Games have a full plate! If 2008 was the year of the emergence of Weird War II as a solid genre, 2009 will be the year it flourishes and grows into an incredible depth and magnitude. If you’re not already on the bandwagon, it’s about time to join us.

Here is a new fan based unit from the forum. See what you think of these:
Support option
0-1 Royal Air Force J.A.C.S Suit Airmen RP 6
Royal Air Force J.A.C.S Airmen or Joint Ariel Combat System is the British answer to the dwindling resources that stop the RAF from filling the skies with planes. Reversed engineered from Drop tech and some clever tinkering by the boffins at research and development the flight suit is a system that allows a pilot to perform close support to the soldiers on the ground. Primarily an anti infantry weapon the J.A.C.S are unable to reach high altitude and jink and weave across the battlefield flying where they are needed to sew mayhem and disorder amongst the ranks of the enemy.
Elite 5 man team. Squadron Leader (Corporal), 4 Airmen (Lance Corporals)
Unit equipment.- Body Armour, Infra red Tech.
All models are armed with Submachine guns, grenades, smoke grenades.
Corporal has a radio
Upgrades:-
· Exchange the Corporals Submachine gun with Webley Sabot
· Two airman can exchange Their SMG’s for a Packed Vickers for 1RP each
Special rules
Nerves of Steel, Fast
Quicker than the eye
J.A.C.S Airmen move very fast over the battlefield weaving and jinking to avoid the worst enemy fire. As a result of this if a J.A.C.S Airman moves further than 8 inches in a movement phase enemy models are at a –2 to hit him. If The J.A.C.S move over 6 inches they are considered to be in flight until the beginning of their next activation and can therefore cannot land or benefit from cover. At the beggining of the next activation they may land and move normally up to 6" and benifit from any cover that is available. If J.A.C.S land in a wood or anything considered to be difficult ground the team takes a light infantry hit.
Death from above
If moving over 6 inches, J.A.C.S Airmen may drop grenades on a target at any point in their move. If they do the grenades scatter 1D6. in a random direction but this is done as part of the move action. They may still throw grenades as normal but may only do this if they moved 6 inches or under.
Also, go to the web site and look at the design for the new W.A.S.P. troops.

It looks pretty solid to me. I am not entirely sure they have a place in list as it stands, although I am a fan of these kinds of units.

I bought five Steel Armored Suits yesterday and I just noticed, having begun building them, that three of them came with medium bases and two with large bases. From the pic on the website, it looks like they're intended for mediums. . .

Thanks Rob for the tutorial run thru. Thanks guys for the games. Lots of fun. It may not have seemed like I was enjoying myself but I was. I tend to be too serious when I game, frustrated when I am pinned down and elated when I actually kill something. Great fun. Iam looking forward to playing some more.

Hey all,Dave Causey here. I live in Pueblo West so I don't get up there as much as I'd like, but I'm currently started on a SOTR American force-got to defend Democracy and Apple Pie,dontcha'know! ;) Hope to see you in battle soon!
Terri, I don't know of a gaming "28mm" scale Lugar, but I bet a 1/35th scale Lugar from a Tamiya or Italeri weapons set would work.
Terri
07-07-2009, 09:34 PM
Thanks Dave! I didn't think to look at Tamiya or Italeri. I ended up sculpting one myself that turned out ok. But I'm sure there will be many more weapons swaps for this so thanks for pointing those two companies out! :)

Another thing to look at is Tamiya's 1/48th armor accessories.
