Can I play too?

So I've been looking at this game for a while, and I was wondering if there are any demos coming up. Maybe just a time when someone might like to teach me how to play. It looks pretty cool, and I just got a fat tax return so let me know.

101st AIRBORNE!

I'll try to get there on the 14th to at least watch some games. If anyone would be willing to show me how to play a small game that would be great.

I am also considering a British Airborne company to start with. Is this an okay choice for a newbie?

Sunday, April 15th, is when the next Flames of War Sunday will be. It was suppose to be this Sunday ( 2nd Sunday of the month) but due to Easter we moved it to the 15th.

British Airborne should be fine. You will need the main Rulebook and the Airborne Rulebook for the Allies. I am alos thinking of doing the Red Devils once I finish the 101st.

Any Airborne force is a good infantry force to start off with. Thier expensive points wise, but being Fearless Vets, with lots of cool toys, and being infantry, they are sometimes the hardest to kill (believe me, after playing Casey's Americna airborne several times, I wish I had had a tactical nuke so I could kill those guys)

Fearless Vets! I love it! That was one of the things that drew me to the army. That and watching " BAND OF BROTHERS".

That's why I loved playing SS, but the point reductions was just too much.

Yeah, Band of Brothers was part of my decision too. I also saw that there is an SAS box, but it looks like it is for a specific scenario. What's the deal with that?

I am doing the 101ST AIrborne and then I want to do the British Red Devils.

Yeah i have a Red Devils army, and then an OLD OLD OLD 101st. Pre V2 That is now only 700 points

I have a combination of old and new models for my 101st. I am planning on doing my bases with cobblestone, to reflect the town of Carethan ( spelling). I wanted it to be the first town the 101st encountered after D-Day. I would alos like to do an amry of 101st with snow bases to reflect Bastogne.
