I wanted to say thanks to all who came out to play in the 1st Annual Combat Patrol Mentor Legion tourney. We had 16 people play, and I hope all had a great time. We will be doing another one in the near future. And thanks to Jason M. and Tim Mork for al ltheir help and hard work. :D

Thanks again,

Just out of curiosity was this event posted on the new forum anywhere?

This event was for the group of kids on Friday night. They had 6 weeks to come with 500 points for this tourney. And it was for people who have not ever played in an RT before. It was desinged to get some of the inexperienced players a chance to improve their playing skills. In fact, I don't think we had anyone over the age of 18.

There will be an adult GW event coming up soon, so don't worry. Probably in May.

We would not hold an event like a regular RT and not tell our playerbase or post it on the boards. The Combat Patrol Mentor Legion event we just had was held on March 30th. It was 3 - 45 minute rounds. The kids had a great time.

The Mentor Legion was created to help out players who are just starting out in 40K or WFB or whatever game they might be interested in. This Combat Patrol Tourney was set up to help people get a feel of playing in a tourney style, learning how their army works, learning how to make an army list, and playing against others. One of the prerequistes was not having ever played in an RT or Tourney style atomsphere. We will be doing another for the kids sometime this summer.

And as I mentioned, we will probably be running some sort of RT for our regular players in May for 40K. Keep an eye on the boards for more details.
