And again this week, the weather screws Cygnar!, and even Cryx a little bit. My Epic Skarre list certainly won't work as is...
Coincidentally, I need to play Cygnar for my Bounty, so who's free?

Just a heads up , Saturday, March 17th, there will be a Flames of War Tourney. And on the 24th and 25, the store is hosting the Legend of the 5 Rings Kotei.
So schedule your games accordingly.

Once we have the tables set up for the FOW tourney and Mech Warrior, then you guys can see what is open. The 24th and 25th, all the space will be used.

We shall place ourselves shield to shield in the narrow space leading to the back room. There we can hold off the rival games indefinitely! Since it lies near Rob's office, we shall call it Robopylae! None shall pass!
The 24th and 25th, all the space will be used. Surely not the tiny table by the RPG's as well? Ray and I have to play board games somewhere...

Last year, we had 64 people. If we get the same amount or more this year, the whole back will probably be used. You can board game on the desk table near the RPG's.

Both players have to agree to NOT use the weather...so Ray, if you wanted to use the weather...all you had to do is say so, and even if they didn't want to...they're there.

So Hidden Valley says nothing about not being able to score points on turn 1. That was how we played it last week. Is that correct? I won at the start of turn 3 before activating a model.
"The first player to hold the area between the hills for three (3) consecutive rounds wins the game. A player holds the area if he controls all models within it at the start of his Maintenance Phase."

Looks right to me. Seems a bit strange consider the known issues with AD these days, but every army at this point has SOMETHING they can threaten the area with...even Cryx...and personally I wouldn't bet my Trenchers or Rangers or Both would last long in there with a Death Jack. So I think people just need to plan more carefully for the scenario.

Should I bring the long, pointy things that we could use to keep people out of the back? You would have to bring the shields.
Ray, I did not think it was a matter of choice that the weather effects be used. It is not a force of nature, or a felony offense, or anything. But, I thought it was built into the league. ??

As Ryan says above, if BOTH players agree not to use the Weather, it isn't used. But if even one wants it, you must use it.

Saturday the family is coming over for St Patrick's feast- corned beef, cabbage, colchannon and all things green. Depends on what time they leave as to when/if I can get to GH. Thanks Mike T

I will be at GH saturday evening about 6pm. This will be a perfect opportunity for some of the players to get some league points. Drop me a line if you want to play. 500 or 750 points your choice. Move up the ladder. Also I will be available to play Sunday. Let me know. There are only 2 weeks left as of Monday. Get your games in. Mike Tester
