Steve,
Will these be the old sculpts? Some of those, the Locust in particular, didn't even look like the lead sculpt. Not saying that's bad. I would be willing to trade some of the other mechs for people's Locusts to have some variety to my mechs.
This is a great value for anyone wanting to get into (or back into) Battletech. This is two companies of mechs. 2 light (Recon) lances, 2 medium (Support) lances and 2 heavy (Assault) lances. Normally, most people only play with, at most, 1 company of mechs. Damn! Best value in miniatures I've ever seen.

Totally. That is a crap load of mechs!
Actually, those will be the re-seen designs. All of the artwork in the 3025 revised TRO has been redone as well.
Unfortunately, that old Locust design is also one of the lawsuit mechs.

Sad But true :-(
Anyway, are there pictures of the greens or mock ups for these guys anywhere Steve?
Hmm... that MIGHT be enough to get me back into Battletech. I might hold out until we get some Clan designs released.

Come back Omar.. . . . Come back. . . .
I want to, I really do. Battletech was my START into gaming, back in 7th grade (1993-1994?). I loved the setting, I loved the game, and I ALMOST got the Jade Falcon icon inked on my shoulder...
Then WizKids got ahold of it, and another wonnderful childhood memory was dragged into the alley, mugged, and beaten to death.
Anyway, I am getting over that. Slowly...
I still have all of my old TRO's (looking to sell them though), Class BT rules, MW 3rd edition (and ALOT of sourcebooks for that), as well as all of the Clan-related background material and scenario books I could find. Just sitting on my shelf, doing nothing.
MegaMek got me playing again, because it was quick. I had been spoiled by 40k (decent game in 2-3 hours, vs 7-8 for BT). It also meant I didnt have to buy all of the mini's I wanted to use for that game.
So, to sum it up, I love the setting, the story, and the general feel of the universe, but I cant stand what WizKids has done with it. I like the fact that they kept it alive, but I almost prefer they let it die as it was than to keep it going as it is. I probably would play again though, if the mission was right. I also want to get into Aerotech 2 (less mini's, decent rules, and I love Battlestar Galactica), and I own alot of stuff for Mechwarrior.. if I could ever find a group that plays.

Well, Classic Battletech is still alive and well. If you ever want a pick up game, let know. I have plenty of mechs. Don't tell anyone, but I even have some Clan stuff (actually, it's my wife's). But let me know.

*GASP*
Forrest is a Clan Sympathiser?
My shining Little world has just been revealed as dark and despairing.
*sob*
:D
You do not know Dark and Despair until you have removed from the universe the light of Kerensky's true path, the way of the Clans. It is a pity that more have not seen the glory that is the Clans.

Think I'll stick with the three old ones and the relatively new one I've got, all metal... BUT it's good to see BattleTech is making sort of a comeback.
