A friend of mine plays and I just picked up a fleet and downloaded the rulebook.

So I was just wondering if anyone around here plays this much?

And if so, would you be interested in a game at the Haven sometime?

Just be warned, I'm a noob to BFG!

Cheers,
Chris

I play an Imperial Fleet. Can't meet this week but maybe next. Just need 3-4 cruisers to play a small learning battle.

Let me know.

I play a Chaos Space Marine fleet, but I'm at the Academy, so getting down to play might be an issue. However, my spring break is coming up on the 22nd of March, if anyone wants to play then just give me buzz.

I have 2500 points of necrons. I dig the game so might be able to work something out on a friday night.

Would anyone be interested in getting together the night of March 23rd? It's a Friday and maybe we all could meet and play a few games.

What days work for everyone? I've been playing here at USAFA for nealry a year against some very expereinced players, so I know the rules pretty well. I'm free the entire week of March 26 till April 1st, so if anyone wants to try and get a few games in during that time, I'd love to teach and play.

I should be able to play this weekend, probably Sunday, but then I'll be TDY for a couple weeks.

I'm just excited to see that there's interest in this game. I've only played a couple times, but it seems based more on tactics than some of the other GW games.

Cheers,
Chris

I won't be able to get out this weekend (wing training event), but perhaps after you get back from TDY, we can get togehter.

Friday nights work for me, but are kinda packed at the store. I can also do Saturday day. But both those times are conditional on my business not requiring me to schedule for that night. If we plan out far enough ahead of time, I can make my partner agree to take any jobs that come in, though.

How about doing something the night of Friday March 23rd?

tentative yes, i'll be able to confirm next week. I have the fleet, and the armada book with my rules, but I do not have a basic rulebook/dice set, so you would need to have those, or we'd have to see if anyone else would mind bringing one (i'm a little rusty, its been awhile since anyone was playing this.)

Wraith

I can bring a fleet and a printed out version of the rulebook that was downloaded from the internet, so that should not be a problem. What time would be best?

Do you have blast markers, compasses, and the other markers? If not, I think I can get some.

I pretty much have a fleet, dice, and the armade book which has the rules for my fleet. I picked the game up, got a few games in, and then no one played, so i figured why spend more? Friday evening will work for me, any time after...5? Where were you able to print the rules online so i can snag a copy? Try to help decrease my n00b factor for when we play.

Do you guys need additional support? Maybe an imperial feet waiting in the wings waiting to pick off the now battle weakened victor...;)

I have blast markers and fighter counters if need be.

Just picked up a whole bunch on mirco fighters from Iron wind metals to act as fighters and Bombers for my orks and such.

That's great. After 5 on the Friday the 23rd works fine. And, Louie N, the more the merrier. I'll still try and get some extra markers just in case. The link for the rules is here - http://www.specialist-games.com/battlefleetgothic/rulebook.asp

I look forward to meeting you all in person and on the field of battle.

Wraith,

I'll try to come by on the 23rd as well... I don't see any reason why we couldn't have a four person game with individuals each commanding a couple of ships. I have a whole fleet of imperial and eldar ships including templates, but haven't played a whole lot as of yet. I'd love to see a campaign get started or something like that, but I'm still pretty new to the rules. Hopefully I'll see you all then! - Jon Keen

What size fleets does everyone want to play? 1000, 1500, 2000? I think 1000 or 1500 is best for good length and entertaining games.

As long as none of my models have been damaged in my recent moves I can field up to 2550, so just let me know what size we want to do. I vote 1500+ but thats cause my stuff is expensive :-) Rather than doing a 4 way game, since none of us seem to be particularly fresh on the rules, we should probly do 2 1v1 games so there is less going on in a given game.

Wraith

Yeah, I agree. I think several 1 vs 1 1500-2000 point battles would be best to get everyone into the rules. I'll bring my entire fleet though just incase we decide to go larger.

Guys, I just realized that I'll have to work the night shift on the 23rd... I'll have to catch you guys on the next go around. Post the next time you're going to play and I'll try and show up... I was looking forward to it.

Any one have a feet for sale or know of a place to pick up an army. I'm looking to learn and get some games in.

You can download all the rules you'll need from the specialist games site, and you should check ebay for battlefleet gothic stuff. You can usually find some good deals on fleets there.

There was some interest a while back. Anyone want to get BFG going on a regular basis?

Mike:

I'd definitely like to finally learn how to play BFG.
I'm still trying to decide on a Space Marine or an Eldar fleet though.

Respectfully,
KEVIN

The club up at the Academy plays on a regular basis and most of us have a fleet. i'm sure if someone started playing at Gamer's, you might get some of the cadets to come down every now and then.

-Josh

P.S.-Go with Space Marines, they are NASTY.;)

I'm going to be putting my necron fleet + book on ebay shortly. If any locals want it hit me up within the next two weeks or so. Its all painted except the tombship. I've done most of the repair work but 2(?) of the ships will need rebasing. I believe its 2500 points, but its been awhile since I've played. PM me if interested.
