Yeah giving us an early heads up would be great because I might, MIGHT, try to get my Empire up and running in time for the next tourny.

June or July...I need to work out a good date with Rob.

Any preferences?

Either month is fine, I just have family coming out around 4th of July, other than that any time.

The sooner I know the date the sooner I can try and get the wife to watch the store for me on that day.

Wehr, you sound like my 4 year old.

I feel the same way though, because it has been forever (almost a year!:( ) since I have played in a Warhammer Tournament and I am getting the fever to get back into it. Don't worry Juergen, I want to play too.:D

O and for preferences either month is good for me. I better get with it though as I have kind of "re-started" fantasy, in that I have sold off all of my figures (yes even the Wood elves, which actually in a week I will) and currently my next Warhammer army is still in bits and on their sprues. But I will be ready for the next one.

I've marked my calendar for June 16th. I'll verify with Rob when he gets back.

Assume 2000pts, Specials allowed, $10 fee.
We'll use Adepticon style scenarios, and Theme and Sportsmanship ala the new cards we're trying out for the 40K event. I'll post those details soon.

Casey, you got rid of those wood elves? what a shame...so what are you working on for now then? Could it be...chaos! Remember, eventually everyone comes to the darkside...some are just slower in getting it right

Yeah, after playing quite a few games with them I found them to almost be like a 40k army with all of the skirmishers. I really prefer the big blocks of infantry compared to the small powerful skirmishers. I guess I just fell for the great new figures. I still have the army, but I had planned on listing them on eBay very shortly. I might hold on to them for one more tournament though.

As of right now I am pretty much starting over. With the Dwarfs I decided to forget the old figures and build my army with the new ones. I also, after selling off my old Empire army a few years ago, decided to restart them with the new book. Although I wont be using the new figures, because I think they are a step back towards the single pose plastic figures in 4th and 5th edition. Plus their uniforms are flat, unlike the cool 6th edition guys.

ah, back to the dwarves. yes, the new figures are quite a good deal since so many are plastics, definitely alot cheaper to form an army than the old metals. Im about to finish up painting my dwarves...finally. Ive got about 15 longbeards and 15 miners to go, then they are done. mine are a mix of all the sets basically, but mostly the 5th and 6th edition stuff. they have been a real chore to paint though since im used to doing the drybrushing and overbrushing on chaos and undead. once i finish painting those two units, then i have to base the entire army, so still got some work to go.

empire eh? good luck on that one. that is one army i dont have any desire at all to paint...yet. im sure it will hit me some day once i get better at the actual painting techniques, but not yet. ive got enough other stuff to paint before i get to that.

So, June 16th eh, about 6 weeks away. So who will have a new army ready to go by then. David Oue mihgt have some skaven ready for that one, but not 200+ figures ill bet. So hopefully there will be a good turnout and get some of the novices and new players involved in this one. only 6 weeks away means time for people to start playtesting their armies too. Have fun!

Yeah, I should be able to make this one. If I get really cracking, maybe I can bring the skaven. If not, then back to the venerable lizardmen.

And did someone mention going over to chaos eventually? Hmm, maybe...
