Okay.
I'm reading the fluff for AT-43. It's talking about the growth of the Red Blok and how the UNA and it's economic motivations make the UNA so bad that people flock to the Red Blok. The Red Blok being about power to the people (meanwhile, taking by force of arms what they want from other people). What kind of crap is that?

How many times do societies have to see that allowing rewards to go to the excellent is what encourages the excellent to create? The fruits of their creation then being enjoyed by the masses: fire, metalurgy, the printed word, television, vaccines, computers, cool war games.

Man! You've got a French company, here. Hoping that their product -created from the vat of THEIR OWN creativity - is so exclusively superior that people decide to put their money on AT-43 instead of something else. Yet, they still can't let go of romanticizing the Proletarian myth. It is not like they are going to take their profit and share it equally with their fellow man. They are going to take it, invest in more capital, and try to make bigger inroads in the gaming world, thus increasing THEIR OWN personal wealth.

Argh, that whole propagandaistic bent I just read really got my blood up. I hope they did it on purpose.

Okay, thank you. I'm better, now.

I hope someone takes up the Red Blok. I will enjoy destroying them.

Yes, moving this to the lounge, after a while, would make sense.

No moving this to the lounge would not make since. What you need to know is that this game was going to be based on a comic set in 1943 or so but it did not work out. And since they had put so much work into it they had to update the store and put it in space. I can only read the store if I keep in mind that it supposed to be that the redblock is WWII Russia and UNA is WWII Germans.

Look up info on DUST and you will see some cool things. at time I wish they had been able to work things out but AT43 works. just don't read things into it until you find out the rest of the store.

Wow. Rob, you know everything. Which faction is going to get the naked chicks in chains?

I'm glad this didn't end up set in 1943. Because there would have been no way to keep Ed away from it, and I would have been hooked in.

Yeah! I wanna know!

As for the Red Blok agit-prop, I was practically rolling with laughter reading it over the weekend. They're very aware of the bitter ironies of what they're writing - kinda like the wink and nod amidst all the enthusiasm in the STARSHIP TROOPERS movie.

I can't wait to see how they write the Karman. And then of course, the naked chicks in chainmail...;)
