Rorschach

an alias that predates the Web, from the early usenet forums back in 1987.
The name is taken from a charming fellow in Alan Moore's classic, WATCHMEN (soon to be a major motion picture from the director of 300!)
Rorschach is still as fascinating as ever, 20 years later:
This city is afraid of me. I have seen its true face.
The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown.
The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout "Save Us!"
...and I'll look down, and whisper, "No"

As for me, when I'm not channeling my namesake or Dr. Doom, I keep a quiet game-filled life.
My wife is Karen, owner of Heebee Jeebees Tattoos and Gallery at 318 East Colorado. She's a former punk rocker, who actually was in the original London scene in the 70's.
I'm a semi-spoiled son of a Dentist from Pittsburgh. I went to Carnegie Mellon University on an ROTC scholarship, and emerged with a degree in Physics and Philosophy. I had dreams of developing unifed field theories to create artificial gravity. My math wasn't good enough, so I ended up out here flying Navstar satellites. An earing and dyed hair, and dislike of butt-kissing, meant I couldn't stay in the Air Force for long. An 8 year stint with MCI ended when they did, and now I'm back where I started, at Schriever AFB, this time working for the Missile Defense Agency (despite being a confirmed liberal...I'll explain the self-justifications sometime...).
My favorite musician is David Bowie, my favorite new band is the Dresden Dolls. My favorite books of the past decade have been the A GAME OF THRONES series, while my favorite writer remains Harlan Ellison.
I like the Philosophy of Ayn Rand, and don't apologize for it.
My favorite films include BLADE RUNNER, WINGS OF DESIRE, CASABLANCA, V FOR VENDETTA, and SERENITY.
My favorite TV shows include BUFFY, DEADWOOD, FIREFLY, DEAD LIKE ME, GILMORE GIRLS, MY NAME IS EARL, XENA, DEXTER, FARSCAPE, BABYLON 5, and STAR TREK (Original and Deep Space Nine).
I am currently reading ANNA KARENINA, GARDENS OF THE MOON, and Neil Gaiman's AMERICAN GODS.
I don't have a MySpace page, as my wife takes all the home computer time.
My "List" Top 5 is as follows:
Cate Blanchett
Milla Jovovich
Rachel Weisz
Lucy Lawless
Kim Novak, circa 1958
My belief systems derive in equal measure from Daoism and Christianity, with a dash of Druidism. All I really need to know, I learned from Star Trek and KUNG FU.
My favoriter historical figure is a toss up between Thomas Jefferson and Vlad Tepes.
I am afraid of spiders.
If I could change my career, it'd be to screenwriter or history teacher.
