If anyone is interested in learning Battlefield Evolution, the new modern combat miniatures game from Mongoose Publishing, let me know and I will be happy to run a demo for you.
A fast easy game, based on the Starship Trooper mechanics.

I'm still interested as well...
I'm steering towards the USMC so I can relive my devildog days!

P.S. When is the main rulebook being released?

The rulebook isn't due out until April, I believe. Every package of miniatures has a set of the current rules in it.
For those that are interested in a demo, let me know what days work for you, and I'll set something up.
I currently have USMC and the Chinese faction to demo with.

I wouldn't mind taking a whack at the Devil Dogs sir,
This weekend may be a bit tight. Next weekend might be a better fit for me. I know Jess has to work on her dissertation and finish before April, so I'm tentatively available Wednesday evening, and Sunday

Forrest, would you be interested in running a demo this Friday? (3-16-07) I could be there at 6 p.m.

Forrest:
If you can host a demo this Friday as well, I can be in attendance and hopefully apply what I've read from the rules pamphlet you provided last weekend and get some hands-on.
I pretty much have the entire day off so I can be flexible with the time.

I've been looking at this game for a while, and it looks pretty neat. The minis are look nice and are a plus for me because no painting is required :D . But how are the rules?? Are they real simple or are they complicated? Last question, how long does the usual game last? Thanks.

Another question, how big are the usual battles? Both point wise and minaiture wise? Can I get into the game by buying only a couple infantry squads and a tank or two?

Josh,
The game is quick, easy and deadly. Very different from 40K. More interactive. The games take about an hour and a half once you know the rules. Two squads of infantry and a tank is a very good sized game, especially for a beginner. If you and any friends are interested in trying the game, let me know. I run demos of this game for Mongoose Publishing.

Forrest:
I'll be up for another game of Battlefield Evolution again sometime soon. I saw the new squad and vehicle boxes in the Haven the other day and like what I saw. Now I'm just waiting for some more USMC releases like the Force Recon platoon!
I'm open to play most weekends and can usually work out a weekday evening later in the week when the store stays open longer.
Also, if you need someone to play in one of your monthly demos, I am available as well.

Let's see if we can get Josh down, and I'll do a demo with you and him. If not, I'd love to pit the loyal forces of the great republic of China against the evil USMC. :D

Sounds good to me... just let me know. Have you purchased any of the new Chinese APCs yet? They look nice. Kind of like an LAV in appearance though.

The end of the school year is fast approaching, and after the 19th of May I will have a good deal of time to waste (aka dead week), where I can potentially get some time off. I've ordered the advanced rulebook from Mongoose, and I would really like to watch/play a game or two while I have all that free time.

Pretty close to true 25mm. They are also closer to a true human physique, not the bulky GW look.
