Me and Zuldjin (on the old forums) *not admin rob* have been talking about starting mordheim I was wondering who else plays in the store and also if anyone would be interersted in buying the plastic human and/or skaven warband components that come in the boxed game?

I thought the game was really good. And a lot of the terrian I built that is in the store was built for Mordheim.
The only problem in the system was when very experienced warbands fought in low expeirnce bands. The battles were very one sided.
If you to watch that with careful scenarios. Perhaps a 2 on 1 on some cases if new people get started.

I'd be in for some quick games. I have a Pirates/Marienburger warband and a Dark Elf (Lustria) warband, and can put together a High Elf one as well (from my overly-large-why-do-I-have-THIS-much-High-Elf-stuff army?!?).
Just one request: Straight up rules, from the RB ('Living' version is online at the Specialst Games link) with appropriate FAQs/errata... no 'house' rules, please...

Almost everyone I know at the store loves Mordheim (and Necromunda). I have a Dwarf Treasure Hunter warband. I play WarMachine most Thursday nights, but might be able to sneak away no and then for a game of Mordheim on occasion.
I also had a great time playing Mordheim back in the day. I have a half-painted Lizardman warband (which most groups wont allow, claiming they are overpowered) as well as a box full of L5R miniatures I was going to use for a Nipponese warband (using Reikland rules).
At this time, as I have no time at all to play (and busy on thursdays), I am looking to sell the Mordheim stuff I do have. Several Skaven minis still in blisters (their captain, two heros, and a sorcerer) that would only require a single box of clanrats to be a full warband, as well as the rulebook (in print), and the afore mentioned lizardmen and nipponese.
Let me know if your interested.

I am very interested in your rule book, what would you ask for it? Any terrain?

I actually have the boxed set as well but, have never got around to learning the rules to the game. I'd be interested in getting a warband together and learning whenever this gets started.

I would not mind trying Mordheim again but right now I am finishing up a Fantasy Campaign. So I would have to wait until that is over which I think is in 3-4 weeks.

I am actually in the WarMachine league for about four more weeks as well, but I would be happy to show the rules off for those who want to learn. The Specialist Games web site has teh Living Rule Book available for download. I'll post the link later if someone doesn't beat me to it.

I used to play this back before I went to Trashcanistan and the AF lost all my converted and painted minis. I've often thought about building the warband back up, but it does not seem to get played enough :(

Hey Mobo!
I am working on a schedule for a Mordheim campaign to begin in the first or second week in November. Have wanted to start one for a while but scheduling and information have been an issue. With my recent purchase of a home with a 2 1/2 car garage I now have my own personal gaming sanctuary. I would rather have the games at the Haven but won't be able to work that out with Rob until I return. (In the desert dodging VBIED's SAF and IDF) The last piece of information I needed was provided in an article on the Specialist Games site. THIS CAMPAIGN WILL START if I am the only person in it. You will need 2-3 warbands. If interested just post here and I'll send the particulars.
Thanks

Hey Mobo!
Greetings from the WAAAGGH!
There is a fantastic group of people there at Gamer's Haven and watching them set up gaming activities, RTT's and participate has inspired me to make this endeavor.
Here is an overview of the rhymes and reasons for the campaign.
PURPOSE:
HAVE FUN!! Don’t think this can ever be stressed too much.
Play MORDHEIM and EMPIRE IN FLAMES. Same as above.
Create Social interaction that brings in new hobbyist, expand hobby interest, and cultivates Warband Development.
Establish regularity of gaming opportunities, set in motion a continuing campaign that will survive the ebb and flow of gamer’s interest, participation and absence.
Remain flexible in order that members can mold gaming opportunities to meet what they are interested in and foster group terrain building projects.
Publish Exploits, Deeds of Heroism and Misfortune with a newsletter such as Town Cryer. (Try saying all of that without taking a breath!!)
What???? Duty calls! :( I must leave for now. Will continue in a day or so…

Hey Mobo and all interested parties!
Just wanted to continue...(after a IED near miss last night blew out all 4 tires on our gun truck:eek:  )...along the lines I started before.
What I have in mind is printed in this month's edition of WD #329. The artical featuring the WARBRINGER Gaming Club!!:D :D I just love it when someone else has the same idea!! Read this artical and picture it happening there in Colorado Springs!!
QUOTE: "From its humble beginnings 6 years ago in a basement equiped with little more than two game tables and a beer fridge, the Warbringers game club has burgeoned into one of the most successful clubs in the midwest. It all began when a group of like-minded gamers got together and began playing game-mastered, story-driven, map-based campaigns organized by a man named Judd Jensen. Good times were had by all, and word spread though the local tournament scene. Request to join the club started to roll in, and the Warbringer's roster swelled to the point that they moved to the club's current home, Phoenix Games, a shop with enough tables to play 12 games at once. The club still plays map-based campaigns primarily. END QUOTE
This is the same idea (only beginning in a garage) I desire for MORDHEIM/ EiF. Expanding also into WHFB and WH40k. I retire from my present job in about 5 years and am planning on opening a store of my own. But for a store to be successful a good gaming club is a MUST! The club comes before the store.
My son is sending my information and maps to me which I will have in a few weeks. Once I get them, I'll put them here along with portions of the map. (don't want you to see it all too soon:p )
 Duty calls again...:(

Is there an ongoing game currently or any interest in starting up a Mordheim league again? I've recently returned from Iraq, and am itching to put my dark elf slavers and Nehekharans through their paces! If anyone's interested, feel free to give me a buzz, call or text, at 719-650-7793 :)

Hey Kevin!
Welcome back. I got back in Febuary but have been to NTC and just got back from Oregon. Should be home for the most part during the summer. Mordheim is top on my things to do list.

Sounds great! I'm also looking at getting a Pathfinder game started, so I'll most likely be juggling the two in conjunction with my new family commitments (recently married with a new baby!), but I'm definitely excited about getting my Mordheim fix on again!
