Suggestion forum doesn't work, I can see you posted something, but I can't see it. (which is how suggestions should be dammit!)

We need some Rep and a more lenient Rep system amongst the 3-4 testers to properly test it.

The Big 2 GW games should be on the Front page and not hidden in a sub area.

Unless they've renamed it it should be GURPS not GIRPS

No post count increase for posting in the lounge (harder to check now because I'd have to remember my count for less then 30 seconds)

Oh yeah, and make the Default Thread Subscription something less intrusive... maybe subscribe no e-mail.

If I direct click on the thread it says I've selected an invalid thread.

I see what you mean about the URL thing...will have to ask around on how to change that...if it can be done. It did highlght the description area for me so I could just start typing in the text I want to show wiht out any extra effort on my part.

RX7club does it... so it's possible. They are also using Vbulletin.

When you go to insert a URL it has a first dialog "Insert text to display(optional)" then asks for the URL.

Fair enough, but if you are going to make Rep and points rewards required for Forum features, then you screw over the Lounge rats... that's fine if it's what you want to do.

For example, I'll never have a post count because mostly what I do is keep the Lounge entertaining... if that makes it so I can't have functions then ce'le've, sucks but that's the way it is.

Also people shouldn't be able to rate their own threads. That is something the Community should decide.

The thinking behind not giving post counts for Lounge posts is that a lot of new members or people just new forums in general have a tendency to hold people with high post counts up as "experts" in some ways. We were trying to avoid this train of thought by making Lounge rats not appear as experts.

A side benefit of it might be that people are more involved in the "helpful" sections of the board in order to gain more "bells and whistles" that we have installed/will install.

Suggestions forums should be working now...I had threads being Mod'd before they showed up.

I'm not seeing what you see for posting URL links. When I cclick on the "Insert Link" botton, it goes straight to the enter URL part.

The top bar Home button doesn't seem to work... at least most of the times I've tried it. Also FYI I'm Using Firefox for all my accessing in case that makes a difference.

I'm also getting 7-11 second load times on any page according to FasterFox. I'm at work so I'm on a trunk line. I was getting similar results from my home computer last night so I don't believe it's a firewall kind of issue.

The home button should work all the time. It could be a FireFox issue or you might have just been hitting it while I was screwing with things in the layout.

The load times are an issue I'm seeing at home as well. I'll have to research that.

I've added a page generated stat at the extream bottom of each page. This is just to help us tarck load times. So far, I've had load times between .8 and 4.7 seconds.

The old forums will be going away. We want to give people that don't check them everyday time to move over here as well as give people a little time to repost any stuff from the old site to the new one. The old one will not be up for much longer though.

How do I stop getting post in my mail. Every time I post. I get a letter say some one reply to the post in my mail box. How in the hell do I stop that please?

Go to user CP. There is an option called "Edit Options"

under that about 1/2 way down there are Thread Subscription options. Change that to something less intrusive (mine is Do not Subscribe, but that's me)

Click Save Changes, Bob's your Uncle, the Worlds a Beautiful place

Click on User CP at the top of any forum page. Next click on Edit Options on the left Nav bar on the new page that loaded. Scroll down to the 2nd grouping on this page, 2nd box. Use the drop down menu to make the selection you want. Ckick on Save Changes at the bottom of the page.

Profile Picture is only shown in your Profile... so if I look at your profile it will show
you are looking for an Avatar.
(I made the exact same mistake during beta)

For that you need 500 points (which you have) , and go to the vbplaza main menu and change avatar options.

Report from the Suggestion thread:

I wanted to sticky Jim's Great Review Thread...and even once I figured out the "thread ID" it wanted, I get "You are unable to sticky threads in this area" or somesuch.

No can I do this for upcoming Tournament and event threads in 40K, WFB, or Warmachine...which makes it damn difficult to keep those events on people's minds.

What's the point of a purchasable Sticky if no one has authority to use it?!?

Another issue - I used to be able to go into advanced edit mode, and delete a thread I'd started. I made a duplicate thread by accident in the Warmachine area, and now I can't delete it. What's up?

Some sections of the forums and some user groups can not delete threads or posts. If anyone ever needs some thing deleted, a Mod or I can do it.
