Emperor Edition Prerelease Tourney!

Hello again Team Haven Dojo (and other assorted people). There will be an Emperor Edition Prerelease Tournament on the 28th of January at 6:30 pm. Time to get some of those new cards (and plenty of reprints)! Format will be draft. For those interested there will be a sign up page at the haven so we can get an idea of how many people will be showing up. Also, please keep tabs on this thread, as I will be updating it if anything changes (for instance, if AEG drops event support or moves the release date again).

In the future, if you could please contact me and fill out the Event Cards up front if you want to run an event. I will make sure that the store has the room for the event on the date requested. This will eliminate any conflicts with other events.

My bad, Troy. I honestly didn't know there were event cards, now. Are we good for this one? If not we can delete it. My line of thought was that i'd edit the above post once I actually got to go into the store to check the schedule.

Yet another reason I put that last bit in. The main post for Emperor Edition release info says that the first round of events will be starting the 27th, with starter deck releases in Feb. Rob may/may not know more since he'd be needing to have stock in the first place to support things. Unless they do something screwy like send stock as part of the event support package...

I do not see a problem with that day, but I will have to check to see what Magic event is that night. We will also have to see if Rob will be getting in the product for a pre-release or not.

Last I heard, the release of Emperor Edition was pushed back to the end of February.

Supposedly Rob is going to be able to get product in. It will be booster draft only, with the starter releases occurring in Feb. If we're only able to do booster draft, does everyone still want to give this a go? Or would we prefer to hold off until February and do a Starter+Boosters tourney?

It is a staggered release. AEG has stated this for weeks guys. We will be doing the event on the stated date as it has been advertised.

The product was in Friday last. There is a Booster Draft tourney scheduled for this Saturday, the 28th, at 630pm. Bob and Travis have the details.

If someone had a Facebook account, or checked the Haven Dojo FB page, they'd have known this Sunday past. ;)

Original post update with entry cost info. That's 2 Emperor Edition booster, 1 Before the Dawn Booster, 1 Second City booster, and 1 additional Emperor Edition booster for the prize pool.

Checked stocks on Thursday. Looks like the Haven is out of SC. We'll switch to 4 EE boosters if no more SC comes in between now and the tourney.

I think we have 3 boxes of EE boosters. You might want to check with Rob to confirm.

I'm not making it either, a family event today and otherwise in the same boat as Bob (unemployed for the past 2 months and taxes have not come in yet). I'm looking at the starter deck event, *IF* AEG actually has them out on time. If not, I might decide to take this arc off like others, tired of stop-and-go bullshtick.

I should pick a game and just focus on it. It would be much easier on my money situation. If they don't have the Starter Decks out on time, I might do the same and just focus on Warhammer Fantasy and 40k.
