Chris Smith had a great discussion question idea the other day:
"If you could have and control any Five THINGS from Science-Fiction or Fantasy, what would you choose?"

Here's my Five:

1) The Power Cosmic - All of it.
-- This alone covers almost anything you might need or want, including Immortality.
2) The current Tardis
-- Personal Mastery of Time and Space. Boo Yah!
3) The most recent Enterprise
-- Gotta have a swank Base of Operations, impossible tech like the transporter, and planet killing weapons, since the Tardis has none.
4) Pris from BLADE RUNNER
-- She counts as a "thing" and is hawt companionship. I'm sure there's a better female android, but she came to mind.
5) Stormbringer
-- For whatever wouldn't respect or fear the other stuff, Stormbringer would be the ultimate threat.

Post yours!

1) R2-D2 so I would have access to the Force

2) A Lightsaber

3) The Macross (with it's ship compliment). If you are going to fly around the universe, may as well have an entire city with you and the ability to jump anywhere in space at once. And transformable robot Fighter planes are cool

4) Laser Sword from Gundam so I could use it in the Giant Transforming Robot airplane along with the force to be a Giant Jedi Robot of doom!

5) Internal wings of the Macross updated with Star Trek Holodecks and Replicators... no need for Chick androids then!

1.) The ability to access the One Power from the WOT books, including the Taint on the male half. I've always wondered what going insane and remaking the world would feel like.

2.) The One Ring. Because.

3.) Princess Leia during her time as Jabba's slave. The reason here should be self-evident.

4.) The Millenium Falcon. After all, its the fastest hunk of junk in the Galaxy!

5.) A Gladiator/Executioner OmniMech from Clan Ghost Bear's Tokasha MechWorks, in its Primary configuration, with all attendant ammunition and required equipment (ie, neurohelmet). Why? Because's its 95 metric tonnes, has a top speed of over 80 kph, has a jump capacity of 120 meters, and carries a Gauss rifle.

I'm not into your whole control trip, baby, but I'd like to have Robby the Robot's interociter number--y'know, so we could go to Mos Eisley and just hang out.

I'm going to live in the Nautilus--I've aleady explained tht here at length.

I'd like to train a Phantasm ball. I'd paint it yellow and play tennis wth smug Frenchmen.

I'd like one of them MegaForce minibikes. We could load the cannon with volleyballs and rule the beach!

I need to go to a repo auction and pick up a '64 Chevy Malibu. The reason should be obvious.

1) The Joker's special smile toxin. I love to see happy people!
2) The original Necromonicon, ah the feel of that special leather.
3) Scorponok. I like his warm personality and charming way with people.
4) Thor's Hammer. Not to use, just to keep away from Thor to piss him off.
5) A Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster. Well, maybe two...

1) Dizzy from Starship Troopers, while Carmen was hot, she was a self serving, manipulating skank who thought she could lick my maps...

2) The USS Reliant, just so I could go on hurting Kirk

3) A brain bug from Starship Troopers, I would keep it in a cage and feed it politicians and Ferengie

4) Evil Spock, he would be my number two

5) Peter Petrelli's powers, cuz if I had them I wouldn't be so Emo.

1) Chick from 4400 that can make you live an alternate life in the blink of an eye, through in Prof X mental powers and some illusion you have the ultimate RPG experience

2) Mage the Awakening, Oracle of all 9 spheres (6+ dots) to include knowing the question to the answer "42"

Do not need much else with #2 covering most bases. But most frequent powers used would be

3) Dream invasion and manipulation

4) Borg cube but the androids and cyborgs would look like Remmy and the other blonde one from Andromeda, or of similar hotness

5) Borg chronometric generation ability as well as an Remen Scimitar level cloaking device

1) Prof. X's powers.

That's all I would need, actually. I'd get everything else from that... even YOUR stuff.

"Hey, nice Lightsaber you got there. Why don't you give that to me?"

"Yes, I will give this to you."

A holodeck, and someone to make sure I come out now and again to eat. : )

But since we are dreaming anyway, The enterprise E has a holodeck, so I will take it.

Since women are appearently things now : ) we can crew it with a bunch of cute ones.

I think that would do it. Of course an all-female crew (Seriously, can you imagine the sound?) would probably lead to me either hanging myself or locking myself into the holodeck until I die, so maybe my logic has eaten it's own tail.

This reminds me of the episode, "Mudd's Women" from the original series.

Pfff...

1) Cap's shield of course...
2) Iron Man's armor...even though he's dead to me.
3) A lightsaber....because Cap's shield, plus IM's armor, plus a lightsaber makes Nate badass.
4) Could I have Tony Stark's money while we are at it too?
5) Jessica Simpson...sure, she's not from Fantasy or Sci Fi proper...but she IS from MY fantasy.

Since women are appearently things now...

Ever read MAXIM? They have claimed thier magazine is the best thing to happen to men since women... They've been implying women are things for close to a decade now.

Of course an all-female crew would probably lead to me either hanging myself or locking myself into the holodeck until I die

Especialy if the all menstrated at the same time...
