View Full Version : Mangled Metal / Tooth and Claw
Dave & Jeremy vs Ray & Jeff..... 14th of June I will amend the ground-rules below as we discuss them in this thread.
1000 combined points (split up as the team wants)
1 epic per side
Warjacks and Warbeasts only
Allies are considered same faction for spells/feats/effect/etc.
First points can think of would be
1) deploy on same side or opoosite corner? opposite more nuts vs same-side we get to see the synergy
2) think we should get the factions set at least a week before-hand
3) terrain - I am think MAX of two per person
4) even though we are doing one faction = another, you cannot reactivate or control enemy warjacks/warbeast should your teammate get killed

Don't split deployments, otherwise you'll end up splitting the whole battle - "I'll fight him over here, you fight the other guy over there" That's always how team battles tend to go, unless you blend battle lines from the outset.

If anyone else wants to partake, find a four-some and we could make it a Thursday night special event.

The best way to keep team battles intermingled is to intermingle the models for the individual teams. For example, one warcaster has his battle group concentrated in the center while the other warcaster uses his battle group split on the left and right flanks of his teammate. That way the battle has to be concentrated on a single large force instead of two independant smaller forces.

For number four, what if you and your teammate are playing the same faction? When you said "enemy" did you mean another factions?

Sorry I meant you cannot take over your allies jacks/beasts

What time did we agree upon for Thursday?
What time did we agree upon for Thursday?
6pm. I'll be there closer to 5 to get a table and some terrain.

I suggest that we bring set lists (one per team) so that this does not become a game of if you bring "A" I will bring "B"and if you bring "Y" than I bring "Z". It will be less time consuming and make the metagame more interesting if you have to plan for everything.
Lets just show up, set up, and throw down. ;)
I had alot of fun. Wish we had enough time to see it through to the end.
I would to do another sometime... maybe 350 per person... next time I'll bring Khador too =)
