Gaming table idea's

I'm to get some ideas for a gaming table to build, I was thinking of something with a desert theme. I was to build a basic table with a few built in hills and space for movable terrain to be added to it. I would like to get some ideas from some local gamer's as the table may end up getting donated after its done.

Making it in either 2'x2' or 2'x3' sections would be awesome. Not only would it store easier, but you can adjust the position of the static/built-in terrain just by moving the sections around. I had plans to build a modular table a few years ago... then we cleaned out the rented storage shed and are storing everything in our garage. So much for a gaming space, lol!

That gives me a really good idea for city, road board that I could do, thanks for the idea I'm still planing stuff out and will definitely try to work in the modular sections of the table.

I going to be starting on the table soon (I hope) its going to be a broken road themed board broken up into six 2'x2' sections, I will also be starting on a 4'x4' coastal sea port board for Warmachine.

Thank you for the idea, Things have been going very slow on the table build. I was layed off from my last just about 3 months ago and finally started another one a few weeks ago so hopefully construction will continue on the build again soon.
