Yes, we thought about it and I thought that originally this tournamnet was going to be an early war tourny. Maybe next time.

I'd definitely be interested in starting an Early War army once things settle back down again.

I've got my French ready for Sunday the 20th (not painted yet of course) if anyone is interested in a few games. ...And Germans, can you leave your range 40" 88 at home pls? ;) lol

I have enough to field a variety of 1500-1750 easy... and up to 2000.

Let me know... cheers.

Since the French have the best armor in the game, if I was a German player I would bring the 88's. Lol

The British have the best armor in Early War. Matildas Rule!!

ROFL

Best Armor... I'll give you that, As far as average armor ratings that is. BUT we are all move or shoot (except for some Armored Cars and some Tank Hunters). That plus 6 shot from an AT 13 at range 40" per turn is way over the top when all French tanks are range 16" or 24" and Front armor 3 to 6 (Depending). It will take the French up to 3 turns before they will be within range and able to shoot at well positioned stationary 88's that have been able to fire up to 18 shots against no armor roll and only a firepower check. That is NOT equal odds.

So best case, 7 Char-B's (which is the most you can field in 1500 points), Trained, Slow, That are unreliable, move or shoot, and will NOT be going into woods would have to survive all of that range 40" auto-penetrating fire.

With all that said... if you feel you need'm... bring'm. ;)

And yes, as far as best tank armor in the game, the Matilda Senior rules the battlefield in Early war.

PS: I got called into work for Sunday (The 20th) so I can play Monday or Tuesday or the following Sunday (The 27th).. let me know if your interested.

-Cheers

I was planning to play on Sunday. But I am off Monday so I will check with the boss to see if anything is scheduled. Anyone else gaming on Monday?

Proxy, proxy, proxy. No one will mind if you just announce what is what for the battle. I think we all started that way.
