Warbands for dark elves

Hi thier i need help finding restrictions for dark elfs in this small edit of warhammer as me and some friends are trying to do a campaign many thanks (this is not mordhiam):D

I have the 7th edition rules but am presently in Iraq. Let me look around in my laptop and see if I have a digital copy...

Thanks very much GW have removed all rules for small games we will be using 7th rules for army comp. Have you managed to play much of warbands this is the first i have been involved withit and will be using skaven my mate will have the dark elves and i think we have one for every race as well

I checked and for Dark Elves there are no army specific rules for Dark Elf warbands. Here is a copy of a PDF http://www.leeds-nightowls.co.uk/downloads/whfb-warbands.pdf I found by searching for warhammer warbands.

Saldo thanks for the pdf i had stumbled across this and in it for Dark Elfs it say about white dwarf 286 for rules and restrictions i have looked at this and could spot nothing i also found a link to the US Games Workshop website but all has been removed i gather due to the release of 8th edition and the way GW seems to have removed rules for the smaller games IE warbands and in 40k kill teams.

Yeah 286 just updated the 6th edition Dark Elf book. I've played 7th with DE and they are well balanced. Just look out for the all shooty with 10 crossbows with champ and reaper bolt thrower not very fun to play at 250.

Will watch for that in the dark elves. My main concern is the skaven leadership so i think it will be lots of slaves to have one unit with high leadership value other wise lots of quick moving units also with the chance to expendable i can shot into combat with out killing my own

When do you plan on starting?? i would be very interested and was planning on an escalation league to help get me up to speed on 8th edition once I return from Iraq.
I prefer smaller point games to the big mega battles. They are quicker, much more entertaining and you really learn your armies actual capabilities.

we will start on the 29th of jan will update this as i go i think this is were i find out that skaven leadership is a real problem

Use the Skaven mobility to your advantage. You will move faster than others and use slaves as bait units so you can flank. I think you will be pleasantly surprised with how they do.

yeah i was looking at skaven speed thinking Giant rats night runners and slaves. thinking of 30 slaves and a chieftain, hoping the big unit attracts the main attention but will always get steadfast at ld10 then the giant rats can flank and the night runners can try to take out anything else. must admit i keep thinking beastmen could be a good army for this.

Don't see myself getting home any sooner that the 15th of Feb. I know better than to believe I will get all the way home until I am at least half way there. And it's not a sure thing even then.;)

Rick ran a war band league for a good six weeks that worked well. You gotta look out for those goblins. Best thing is to run your list and just do minor tweaks. Your personal play style determines it all.

yeah i think my list i tried against daemons which wiped them out will be what i use the only consideration is 15 clanrats or 30 slaves

I will be using my greenskins as always :mad: and I scored on a horde of Ogers while here, so expect to see them!!:eek::D
I'll be watching for battle reports and progress!!
