Grimfist could not believe his eyes, or his ears for that matter. Standing before him, were 4 Squat Attack Bikes, 3 of the standard issue and one that had a side car attachment. But even more important than the bikes were their riders. A patrol squad of Exo- Squats had found the unit known as the "HELLS HAWGS" only yesterday. 4 Squats. 4 more! It was a great discovery. The HAWGS led by a Squat named Gromnir had been stranded on the Squat Homeworld not far from the Stronghold Grimfist had commandered. From the looks of their bikes, they had given the greenskins one hell of a fight before the sheer numbers became overwhelming. The bikes were running but definitely needed tune ups and repair work but Grimfist's tech priests assured him they could do it, with help of course from the ones who knew the bikes the best. Gromnir was glad to know that there were still Squats around. Grimfist smiled, as he knew there would be more of his kind out there to find.

If I saw a Squat riding a bike I'ld have to circle the block a few times just to get one more look!

"It will require some work, but I'm sure I can get it up and running."
Grimfist smiled at the tech priest. "Get to it then."
The techpriest smiled and ordered the large bike hauled off. Several Squats helped move the ancient vehicle.
Grimfist smiled to himself. This was another storke of good luck. While scouting out parts of the devasted Squat Homeworld, a unit of Exo-Squats had discovered an old abandoned Exo-Squat Bike. It was badly damaged and had been buried in rubble but it was like finding a lost treasure. This would help out his unit of bikers also known as the HELL's HAWGS, who had been found a few weeks back. They had since gotten their bikes up and running with the help of the Tech Priests and out doing partols on a regular basis. All of these bikes and their riders would be a huge factor in Grimfist's camapign in fidning his lost bretheren and his war against the Orks.

The landscape before them told the story. Nothing had to be said. The sure devastation that lay in front of them was truly epic. Detroyed Squat vehicles intermixed with that of the accursed Greenskins. And the bodies. The sheer loss of life. The area had been discovered by a scouting patrol of the recently reactivated Hell's Hawgs, the Squat Biker Squadron that Grimfist and the others had found. The bikes were able to cover much more of the Squat Homeworld and Grimfist had Gromnir and the other bikers doing regular patrols seeking out unexplored areas since the return. The Squats had only been here for a short while and were still discovering how much their race had paid in blood defending the Homeworld.
Grimfist surveyed the area, his blood boiling. He ordered the dead to be removed and given a proper Squat burial and to salavage as much epquipment that was still workable from the wreckage. He once again made the vow to himself that the Orks would pay for this atrocity.

The Ork fell where it stood after the Exo Squat removed his Power Axe from the greenskin's chest. The Squat spun around to see 2 more rumbling towards him. He braced himself for combat but it never came. The 2 Orks were struck down by Stormbolter fire. He quietly aknowldeged a "thank you" to Grimfist, his lord. Grimfist had open fired on the advancing greenskins. The Ork Raid had occured during the night. A small Ork scout ship had shown up on the Squat Homeworld and Grimfist's base of operations. But the Orks had gravely misjudged how many Squats were there. The Greenskins had thought they had wiped out these "runts". Now they knew, they were wrong. And Grimfist smiled, for he had not been able to allow his blade to taste Ork blood. And he knew that once this Ork Scout group did not report back, that more greenskins would surely show up.
"Let them come, he smiled, 'let them come."

The funeral procession followed all of the procedures and traditions that accompanied burying one of their own. These was the first losses for Grimfist in combat since his return to the Squat Homeworld. He and his forces had defeated the Ork Scouting party that had arrived a few days ago. But in doing so, they had lost 2 of their own. They knew that the Scouting Party would be missed soon enough and that the Orks would investigate and that preparations would need to be made, but for now, the Squats were saying goodbye. They knew that these warriors would be greeted in the afterlife by so many other warriors that had fallen before them.
"Farewell my brothers, we shall meet soon enough," Grimfist declared as all present raised their steins in a toast.

"The Gods have blessed us, " Grimfist thought to himself.
He was of course referring to the information the Squats had received about the Ork Horde that had sent a scouting party to their world. The newly reformed Squat Home World. The info told of the Horde being traced to the system that held the world known as Haven's Prime. Grimfist smiled at this good fortune and organized a force and proceeded to the infamous Warworld. And the events of yesterday, when they encountered an expediatory force of the star farring aliens known as the Eldar. Grimfist's forces mustered out a vistory over the Eldar. This was a good omen Grimfist thought. Hopefully the Gods would smile on him and his fellow Squats in their pursuit of the damned Greenskins.
