Starting a 4th edition game

Hello everyone, my name is Jeff and I'm starting a Shadowrun game. I've been playing RPGs for about 15 years, and I've been running them for about 10. I moved here from Houston and had to leave behind all my old players. However, I have two friends that are new to RPGs that want to play Shadowrun. We need at least one more player though.

We would like to run the games up at the store, but we may need to be flexible in our location, time, or both. Currently our team consists of an elven physical adept of the Invisible Way (ninja) and an elven infiltration expert with a penchant for firearms (former UCAS tech). We could use a hacker, mage, and/or rigger to round out the group.

I can only take on 3 more players for this game. If we have more than three people intereted in playing, I will choose the three that fit best into the group. If you are not chosen, it isn't anything personal. The games will start in earnest after the Christmas holiday (re: January 8), but I will be taking applications, meeting people, etc. anytime until then.

This Saturday (December 18), we will be at the store at 7pm. If you are interested in making a first impression, tthis will be your chance. I look forward to meeting you all there, and to making some new friends in the process.

I'm always interested in 4E Shadowrun, but I'm also notoriously overscheduled. If the stars are right, and I don't have a date, I'll look for y'all after the store event ends between 7 and 8.

I apologize to anyone that was at the store looking for us. My other players had something come up and couldn't attend. I'd really like to get their input on any players that we add to the game, so we had to cancel meeting up. January 1st would be the next Saturday that we can meet up, though given the holiday there is a very real possibility that any meeting will be postponed. I would like to provide any interested parties with my contact information, so if you are interested in playing, please send a PM.

Some basics: Any players have to be standard metatypes (human, orc, dwarf, elf, troll). Build your character with the standard Build Point system. Any gear with a R or F availability is subject to GM approval. A general rule is that items with F or R ratings are limited to 12 availability, but there may be exceptions. I like the advanced Lifestyle system, so we will be using that system. It's fully compatible with the default rules, so if you don't have access to the Runner's Companion, don't fret. Having secondary/illegal SINs are considered crucial, so count on investing some nuyen in a fake SIN. I encourage my players to pick up Negative Qualities, feel free to get creative.
