Historics in 2011.

I would like to see us try to be more organized in our attempts to get some histoic games in. I don't know if that means trying to get one event a month, or two events, or one a week. It will depend on all of us and our schedules, of course, but we have many periods that we can play:

Ancients
Medieval (tied into Ancients)
English Civil War
American Revolution
American Civil War
Wild West
WWI
WWII
Moderns

Warhammer Ancients/Medievals are already established, and I think it is simply getting people together for it. I know I have WOTRs, Romans and Celts in 25mm, Spartains and WOTRs in 15mm, and many other people have alot more.

ECW is new and I have about six regiments or Scots in 25mm.

AWR and ACW is something that I think would be really fun, especially ACW in 25mm using Perry's minis. If anyone is up for this I would be willing to set something up.

WWI- I mean, how many of us already have 25mm troops for this one? Lets get together and get some fighting done!

WWII- not just FOW, but what about 25mm skirmish games?

Modern- Yeah...I got 25mm Russians. ;)

Not only this, but there is another group of historic players in Colorado Springs. I think we could hold a few group challenge games.

Do we want to shoot for a get together the first week in Jan?

We'll need to talk to the FOW guys. Ironic, since I have FOW and haven't played them here yet.
I say we shoot for a wild west game in January just to get things started.

I'm in for a WWest... I will have my Indians and Mexicans (I could also bring French in Mexico)

How about the HAVEN HYSTERICALS? I'm still interested in playing DBA for ancients, I have 15mm but could easily use some 20mm for a couple 25mm armies and have enough to make a regular sized 25mm set. I've been thinking of Wild West since that would be easy to buy a few figs and make something for it.
