View Full Version : Why is it so hard to sticky threads?

I wanted to sticky Jim's Great Review Thread...and even once I figured out the "thread ID" it wanted, I get "You are unable to sticky threads in this area" or somesuch.
Nor can I do this for upcoming Tournament and event threads in 40K, WFB, or Warmachine...which makes it damn difficult to keep those events on people's minds.
What's the point of a purchasable Sticky if no one has authority to use it?!?

Dale, did you ever figure this out? It's an easy task for me.

For starters, there's no "Pin Thread" link, right in there. You have to cut and paste the Thread name accurately, and go over to vb Plaza. Then I would get the error that I can't buy the pin for that "area". I can't retest today, because somehow, I can't find or see any links to vbPlaza!

Well, since there is no vPlaza anymore, you will not see it again ;) I'll have to check and see if you need to be a Mod of a forum before you can Stick/pin threads. I think you do. There are two way that I can Stick threads. The first is a check box at the bottom of the Additional Options box when starting or replying to a thread. The second is via the Thread Tools drop down menu at the top right of any thread.
If it's a case of you have to be a Mod or better to Stick a thread, we'll have to look into making you a Mod in some of the areas.
