There is going to be a tanksgiving, Rob is thinking up how we are going to work it out to where its not a parking lot.

So here it is, the layout for tanksgiving. Each player will start out with a 2000 point unit with every thing else being put into 1000 point reserve units. All reserves will then be put into a pool where they will be brought out in random order determined with a dice roll. The dice roll will determine what unit gets brought out. There will be only tank teams minus any artillery(so tanks, tank destroyers, assualt guns, etc.). All players will receive one artillery template from a off the board 4 gun 105mm battery. No aircraft. If I could get an idea of who wants to play and what side they plan on playing. And if everyone who does play could bring both allied and axis forces to be used by both sides that would be great:D, this will allow us to have more points. Lets try to get over the 100,000 points:D.
I plan on playing germans, but will bring my allied forces to be used by others.

Mid War Monsters like Rob was talking about?

Sorry left some stuff off.
Yes mid-war monsters will be allowed. There will be no proxies, what it represents is what it is. There will be multipule objectives worth points, 1 point for your deployment zone, 2 for the middle, 3 for the enemy deployment zone. Company morale will not be a factoer, but platoon morale wil still be in play. To keep the board from turning into a parking lot once a platoon runs or is destroyed all units will be pulled. And each player can hold off up to 500 of the orignal 2000 points in ambush.

I question the 1000Pt reserve units, is that number correct? Some German tank units will not be able to be built unless we are also ignoring what a company consists of unless of course our reserve units are only platoons?

The reserve units are not being base on normal company construction, as long as they are legal platoons. So a single elefant would not be allowed, because it requires 2 to 4 for a platoon. So no company commander is needed in the reserve units. You will still want one for your 2000 point team for use as a spotter for atry or to rally a routing platoon, but he relly will be there for the looks. Also have one platoon of the 2000 point team match the company commanders tanks(one platoon of shermans if that is what the commander is in). After that if an allied player wants to mix differant nations under his command go for it(one platoon russain, one britsh and such) as long as they are legal platoons out of one of the books or pdfs.
