Conversion Question

Greetings fellow gamers,

I have what might be a stupid question. What is the requirements for conversion if I wanted to use them in a Tournament? What about scratch-built models? I have an idea (which Jason knows about) and working on figuring out conversions. Also, does anyone know a good place to find model bits or can I order the exact bits I might need directly from GW?

Hey Bob,
I read it somewhere... :confused:try to remember... something like a "majority" of the model needs to be GW... but not being someone who really cares how much of my conversion is from "approved" sources, I didn't bother keeping it. Sorry.:(:p

General rule is "began as a GW model (this includes Citadel, Marauder, and Forge World) and end product is at least 90% GW," unless of course there isn't a product available at all (think WFB Cygor or 40K Stormraven). Beyond that, the sky is the limit.

As to bits, there are lots of online shops that specialize in clipped plastic bits, and some even carry opened/parted metal kits.
