Thanks guys. It was a tough go. Dark Elves, WOC,and Dwarves were the most numerous armies. Had the only Beast army(as normal!) I faced Empire with 2 steam tanks, 3 mortars, 1 cannon,hellfire missiles? and Karl Franz on foot with huge unit of swordsmen-I got minor victory, next was H.E. Teclis spam. Was going well until lion chariot charged general unit and I actually lost combat failed test and ran. Major loss. Ogre Kingdom last game, standard stuff. Mission was Tower in the center. I held it for 5 rounds for the massacre. Not a bad showing but not enough for a top three placing. 30 players I was in a three way tie for 5th. Good fun.

OK, just saw the "results" from Chicago... how the hell is there a TIE for first place?!?

1st place - Michael Mattox /Jeremy Aebly
2nd place - Adam Hilton
3rd place - Brad Schwandt

So did Michael win and is not able to go to Vegas, so 2nd place Jeremy moved up (meaning Adam was 3rd and Brad was 4th)? If not, I'm calling shenanigans.

First it happens when the T.O.( store manager) decides to deviate from established GW 'ArdBoyz rules. Rounds were reduced to 2.5 hours( many games only went 3 rounds !) non GW score sheets and scoring rules were used( don't know where they came from but really screwed up match ups) and no victory points recorded round to round. Still it was a lot of fun good opponents and I might have placed higher except for a single die roll. Prize support really sucked, it has gone from nice prizes every round for different things( like first charcter kill in the round gets a prize to nothing but 1st - 3rd prizes. Maybe GW is down on their luck.
