sounds cool! The first saturday in November may be best to deconflict with the denver tourneys and pull from their FoW crowd. 1750 sounds good, I have never been a fan of adding rules to tourneys that arent in the rulebook.
I like the idea of paying when you register, but if we can get the word out to denver I dont think we will have a problem getting 16, especially because of the 1st place prize...

If it is on the 6th or the 13th than i may have an additional player beyond myself and brian. Brian said he would play if he was needed as the 16th player.

As long as it is not the 13th I should be there.

Just a heads up, Nov. 6th has been taken for a Malifaux Tourney event. Shaun asked if he could have that day and it was open in in the calendar at the store.
I'm in on whatever day it is.
I can go with less than 1750 points to make it interesting. Might change things up a bit. Make it more like the tournies in New Zealand.
Just thinking on line.
Will this use the standard six missions from the FOW Rule book or the scenarios from the nationals?
It makes a big difference on scoring and what armies some people might bring.

Details for the event have been added to the first post.
The scenarios will be from the 7 in the rulebook.

Ok, we are about a month out from the event and want to start getting everyone pumped up.
The sign-up sheet is up at the store so spread the word and lets get a great turnout "we need 15 players min.", for the top prize - Early War Army Box of the winners choice.
We have 18 slots open for the tournament, make sure to sign-up so you dont miss out.
Thanks

So I was talking to tony the other day and he mentioned that he wasnt going to play so he could run the event... I say bullocks...
I am proposing that we split up the tournament duties to create an unbiased judging panel and let everyone play.
I figure we can split the duties up to 3 people:
1 - Table Setup, Paint Judge #1
2 - Result Entry/Pairings, Paint Judge #2
3 - Scenario Roller, Paint Judge #3
Paint judging can be very biased, so by having 3 judges we will average the scores before entering them into the system.
Tony has ran all of the FoW tournaments at GH and I think he should get to lose just as often as I do... lol...
I am willing to do the data entry/pairings since I man a computer for a living anyway...
If anyone would like to volunteer to help run the tournament or if you have suggestions or objections please let me know.
Also, just to throw this out there, if we are a few players short an idea is to bump the entry fee up a few bucks to get us to the "magic" number so the winner can get the Army box... just an idea... hopefully we get our 15!

So, how was the tourney? What are the results? How many people ended up attending? I wasn't able to be there so I'm curious how it turned out.
It was Great.
Tony did his usual super kob along with his helpers Jeremy and Josh and thr extra judges. All went smoothly and I think we all had a great time.
Art and his Tiger company took first and the covete Early war army box.
Many prizes were given out ans Tony even added some special extras from his own staff to sweeten the pot. The time went fast and the battles were bloddy.
Tony can list what armies finished in which order. I am not sure.
You should have been there for the fun!
