hello everyone.
starting in May, i will only be running One Constructed tourney a month. the other three saturdays will be used for Demonstrations, classes in deck building, and open fun play to help us get more players to come back and play more regularly. I am hoping with the new set about to come out and all the new things AEG is doing for the players that we will be one of the best stores in the west.
i will also be hosting a Dojo Days event the Week after the pre release to help explain what it is all about and to enlist all your help in making it sucessful

Charles:
I'm really looking forward to all of the new things that AEG is doing to reinvigorate the game and really get the players involved!
Just let me know when you need me to help out with the demos, etc.
Respectfully,
KEVIN

Ok, so with the previews I am seeing so far and the word online, the Spider Clan should be interesting.

Troy:
I most definitely agree about the Spider Clan. They are already drawing my attention and have some very interesting cards and characters. Plus, it will be refreshing to build a whole new deck around a new clan that no one has really had much experience against.
Then again... i'm also looking at Unaligned and maybe even driving myself insane by trying to build a Phoenix or Dragon Enlightenment deck.

Sounds like we have the same ideas for clans in the upcoming months.

Troy, Rob, Charles, et. al:
Has the Gamer's Haven received any word yet about incoming Dojo Days items coming to the store?
And if so, what clans are getting items for the store?
(I believe you needed at least three players from each clan for AEG to consider sending clan specific items to a retail home store).
I registered as LION (of course) and listed the Gamer's Haven as my home store.
According to L5R.com, store's should have been contacted starting early last month.
Any updates?

KEVIN

I will have to register here soon. Either Spider or Ratling for me.

i dont know if we have 3 of any clan represented in our store at this time. in order to start getting things thats what is needed. i have registered dragon, sanger has done lion, kevin you have done as lion too, i do not know of any others who have registered and recieve the herald.
so as we build the player base we need to convince them to register with the herald and we can fight over which clan they will support lol

It looks like Sangar and I will have to press gang some new "recruits" for the Lion!
What do you say, Sangar? Up for the challenge? We only need one more!

Not sure what I will do. It will probably have to be Spider seeing I can't do Ratlings.

Well seeing I will have to play the Ratlings out of the Spider Clan stronghold, I will have to register as SPIDER CLAN. But rest assured, the Ratlings will be there!

<Cue animated Spiderman theme music...>
"SPIDER Clan, SPIDER Clan... does whatever a SPIDER c(l)an..."
I know... cheesy... but, it was begging to be done!

With the influx of old players who have shown interest in getting back into the game, I hope we see you all on Saturday nights for play. Thanks to all who expressed interest in starting back up last night. Charles is working on a schedule for the next couple of months for tournies and demos and I will be thinking of some fun events to run. Keep an eye on this thread for more details.
