Victory at Sea Players

Now that most of us have the fleets we want to play for Victory at Sea, we are finding that the next obstacle is airplanes. While you need few ships, the game requires that you have 3 to 10units (3-4 stands per unit) of planes.

I believe that every plane is a common, so if you would be willing to trade plane for plane with other players, you will be helping to get everyone started playing.

For those poor souls like myself who gave away all their extra stuff, who would be willing to sell any extra planes they have. Ian and I are looking for American planes, I know Troy is looking for Brits. Kevin and Rob are looking for Japanese planes. A fair price would probably be $1 per stand, as I have seen them on-line for this price.

Lets try to help each other out and move the game forward.

I'm all for the plane exchange...

You'll see in the game that planes of various types are often very inexpensive and much needed in order to dogfight torpedo-bombers, dive bombers and other aerial threats to your ships. Plus, they are the most inexpensive type of item and usually come in flights of 2 to 4 which means you can easily have 6 flights of one type of plane in a very low priority game.

I have Japanese planes (along with two Jap carriers) I have no use for. One stand of Zekes, three of Kates, and one Betty, plus Shokaku and Akagi. Check the War at Sea thread for other stuff if you're interested.

The Zeke is a fighter, Val is a dive bomber, Kate a torpedo bomber, and the Betty a patrol bomber.
